Durable round placemats in coordinated colours.
Every piece in our collection is made entirely by hand by women artisans in and around Mbarara, Western Uganda. Because each piece is handmade, colours, patterns and dimensions vary slightly — that's what makes yours one of a kind.
Your purchase supports fair income, skills training and education for the girls and women who make our crafts.
This piece was made at our Mbarara workshop, where artisans gather to weave, bead and paint together. Many learned their craft from their mothers and grandmothers, and now pass it on to younger women joining our programme. A single piece like this can take anywhere from two days to two weeks to complete.
